A New Approach to Ninth Grade For Students in Hazelwood District

Ninth grade students in the Hazelwood School District started their first year of high school and became part of new efforts to help them succeed throughout their academic experience.

Developed from national academic research, ninth grade academies have been implemented in Hazelwood. The purpose of the academies is to make schools feel smaller and less overwhelming for freshman students and to help the students develop relationships with each other and their teachers.

Developers Offer Retail Plans For 2 New Halls Ferry Sites

There could be big changes coming soon in the New Halls Ferry area, from Lindbergh to Parker Road. The Florissant City Council last week held first readings on two bills that would approve preferred developers for two areas along New Halls Ferry.

Maybe the Rams Starters Should Have Played A Little More in Pre-season

The Rams lose another one against the 49ers at home, but let’s look back what I wrote after the opening day debacle against Carolina.

In an earlier column I wrote that the Rams should not charge full price for tickets in the preseason, well they shouldn’t have charged full price for this game (the opener) either. The team hung in there during the first two quarters but just absolutely fell apart in the 3rd quarter. Wasn’t much better in the third quarter against the 49ers either, but it was a more exciting contest.
