It’s about the Dining Diva outings and cool new restaurants we’ve tried out. It’s about the fun more than the food.

Movie review: 27 Dresses

Weddings are getting a bad rap. Commercialized into costly extravaganzas, ceremonies meant to celebrate and sanction the civil and sacred joining of two people have turned into spectacles that have less to do with love and more to do with impressing people. Planning them can turn women into bridezillas and turn men off. Still, the fascination with weddings has not diminished and continues to be popular with filmmakers as a standard hook for a continuing stream of movies featuring weddings as part of the story. “27 Dresses” has a bit of bait-and-switch going on.

Last Prep Hockey Game at North County Rec— Haz. West, SC West Play For Title

Hazelwood West Ice Hockey Club Head Coach Michael McLaughlin was hopeful that the Wildcats still had a chance to win the Mid-States Club Hockey Association Suburban North Conference title last Saturday night outside the locker room at the North County Recreation Complex rink after a 6-1 loss to Francis Howell Central, in a non-conference game.

McCluer North, Hazelwood East Win Girls Prep Basketball Tournaments

Mid January for McCluer North and Hazelwood East High Schools meant playing in their third Girls Basketball Tournaments at private high schools. Last week both schools each took first place.
