SILVER DOLLAR CITY’S WORLD-FEST continues at the Branson theme park until May 4 (open Wednesday through Sundays). This year’s featured attraction is the all new Irish Celebration with the largest Irish production show that includes Ireland’s Feet of Fire, showcasing dramatic “fire dancing” plus championship Irish step dancing with live music.

Florissant Council Expresses Gratitude To Councilman Moran

JOHN MORAN leaves Florissant City Council after 18 years.

The Florissant City Council bid a fond farewell to Councilman John Moran, whose 18 years as a council member are coming to an end. Moran decided not to run in this month’s election.

Hazelwood City Attorney Meets With School District Officials On Plans at Ford Plant Site

After a meeting last week with the Hazelwood School District Superintendent Chris Wright and staff, Hazelwood City Manager Ed Carlstrom felt the discussion clear up a lot of points regarding how the process works with Hazelwood’s redevelopment of the Ford assembly plant area.

All seven members of the HSD Board of Education attended a Hazelwood City Council public hearing Wednesday night held to express concerns regarding the proposed tax abatement plan for the former Ford assembly site.

Movie review: Smart People

“Smart People” gets pretty dumb in spots, thanks to stilted, contrived narrative and heavy-handed character development that pushes the cantankerous grump for ill-fitting laughs; stretches thin the smart-alecky genius for ironic precocity; and over-exposes the non-conforming slacker’s devil-may-care assets.
