Historic Florissant, Inc. Tea and Talk Hosts Discussion on the Florissant Area During the American Civil War

Historic Florissant’s bi-monthly meeting of “Tea and Talk” will held Sunday, June 8 and 22 from 1- 3 at the Franz Gittemeier House, 1067 Dunn Road. The program will discuss the impact the Civil War had on the families of North St. Louis County. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Tesson will be the featured guests for both afternoons and will help lead the discussions along with Mrs. Kay Spring of HFI.

Historic Florissant, Inc. Presents Zimmerman Awards, Sunday, June 1

Historic Florissant’s second annual Lois Zimmerman Preservation Award ceremony will be held at the Franz Gittemeier House on Sunday, June 1, at 2 p.m. The Gittemeier House is located at 1067 Dunn Road in Florissant.

Green, Walsh Applaud Passage of Mental Health Assurance Bill

Sen. Timothy Green, D-Spanish Lake and Rep. Gina Walsh, D-Bellefontaine Neighbors have commended their colleagues for passage of SB 1081, introduced by Senator Green.

Missouri lawmakers gave final approval to House/Senate bill which increases the quality assurance and safety in the Division of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Community Programs.

Weather Delays Opening of Hazelwood’s Water Park; Now Hoping For Near June 20

Hazelwood Parks and Recreation Director Doug Littlefield is trying to accelerate the opening of the $5.7 million water park planned for White Birch Park despite delays caused by rainfall and weather conditions.
