North County Festival, June 28
North County Community Festival sponsored by the City of Black Jack and Jamestown Mall in conjunction with the St. Louis County Police Deaprtment will be held on Saturday, June 28, from 5-9 p.m., at Jamestown Mall, lower Dillards lot, with fireworks at 9:15pm. There will be free inflateable rides for the kids, along with free hot dogs and soda while they last. The band “Jericho” will perform from 6-7 p.m. and a DJ will play the rest of the evening. Council Okays Sansone For Redevelopment of Cross Keys Apartment

The Florissant City Council has approved an ordinance naming the Sansone Group as the preferred developer for the Cross Keys Apartment Redevelopment Area, over objections by the apartment owners that the Sansone Group has already been advertising the development on its website.

12 Eagle Scouts from Hazelwood District Cap Their Scouting Careers
Eagle Scout honors mean many things to a Boy Scout – pride, relief, an avenue to possible scholarship opportunities and evidence of a job well done.
In the Hazelwood School District, 12 young men, six from Hazelwood Central High School and six from Hazelwood West High School, earned the Boy Scouts’ highest award this year.

When you’ve got the current big cheese of comedy, Steve Carell, as your leading man and consulting work from comedy writing legends Buck Henry and Mel Brooks, there’s no way director Peter Segal’s big screen version of TV’s spy-parody “Get Smart” is going to miss blockbuster box office by that much.
