Billy Peek Headlines Ferguson Streetfest, Sept. 26 & 27

St. Louis Bluesman Billy Peek will headline the ninth-annual Ferguson Streetfest, North County’s Largest Outdoor Music Festival. The festival will be held in downtown Ferguson on Friday, Sept. 26, from 4-11p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m.-11p.m. – two days of live music, specialty beer, art activities and exhibits, and fun.

Thoughts Wander As Rams Provide Little In Sports Entertainment

As I sat and watched the Rams get their butts handed to them for a third straight week, my mind drifted off to several other things. Like wow that fluorescent green stripe on the Seahawks jersey is pretty cool, look at the fluorescent green shoes, how do they make those, and I wonder why the sun is out at the game. Isn’t it usually cloudy and rainy in Seattle.

Gifted Students Open New Science Lab With Fingerprinting Lesson


Hazelwood gifted education teacher Chris Williams (right) helps students Evan Foster, left, and Kobi Wells with their latent fingerprint lab at the new Hazelwood School District Learning Center science lab. Using a clean, empty, glass jar, the jar’s lid, some tape, a piece of aluminum foil and some super glue, the fifth grade students learned how to make their fingerprints show on the inside of the jar. The students have been studying crime scene investigations techniques, such as fingerprinting and how to process a crime scene.
