21st Annual Business Showcase & Family Fair Moves to JFK Center, March 28
The Greater North County Chamber Commerce (formerly Florissant Valley Chamber of Commerce) invites residents to explore the 21st Annual Business Showcase & Family Fair to be held on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the JFK Community Center in Florissant.
Each booth will feature an activity for children to participate in and the first 500 children who attend will receive a free book! There will also be the St. Louis Athletic Street Team on hand, school musical performances, health screenings, drawings and much more.

Metro Transit C.E.O. Explains Bus Route Cutbacks; Says N. County Least Effected

The Florissant City Council heard from Raymond Friem, the Chief Operating Officer of Transit for Metro, at this week’s council meeting. Friem was there to address cuts in Metro service that take effect next week.

Movie review: “Knowing”

Knowing starts out in conventional horror genre mode, then veers into disaster territory, finally coming to rest in the realm of faith and salvation.
The horror, disaster and spiritual elements of the story register at different levels of effectiveness, compared with its honestly rendered and emotionally absorbing portrait of a father and son.

Dining Divas Rock Out For Dinner at Harrah’s New Sammy ‘s Restuarant
A few of the Dining Divas are die-hard “Red Rocker” fans, otherwise known as Sammy Hagar for those of you not inclined to listen to rock and roll music. He was the former lead singer of the ’70s hard rock band Montrose and lead singer of Van Halen in the mid-’80s through mid-’90s. So when Harrah’s Casino opened up a new restaurant called Sammy’s, we were excited to check it out.

Many Have Teams Left In Sweet 16 Brackets

First question. How many of you still have teams left in the Big Dance? Believe it or not, I have three schools left as of Tuesday morning. I have talked to a lot of people and they are saying that they have 12 or even 13 teams out of the 16. That is pretty darn good.
