Florissant residents are reminded of city’s trash can ordinance

Mayor Robert Lowery wanted to remind residents of the City’s trash can ordinance. Florissant City Hall has received numerous complaints that some residents are in violation of this ordinance and Mayor Lowery wanted to send out a friendly reminder about this ordinance.

Stanley Cup Finals Were A Big Treat

I know since the Blues were long out of the playoffs that many of you did not even take a second glance at the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year but if you did, you were in for a big treat. The series went all seven games and Pittsburgh came back to defeat Detroit in the Motor City.

New Gift Shop


There is a new gift shop in Florissant, Bella’s Bounty Treasures and Gifts located at 3323 N Highway 67 just South of the New Halls Ferry Inn. The owners are Kimberly Morton and Barbara Ross. Barbara retired after 25 years with the Department of Defense. They offer a variety of gifts including personalized fleece baby blankets and bibs and African, Americana, Oriental, home décor and themes such as Fantasy and Medieval. You will find candles, incense, and incense burners. They have a special Father’s Day gift section.
They are open Tuesdays 10AM-7:30PM and Wednesday-Saturday 10AM-5PM.
Most everything in the store is priced under $20.

Girls from Zion United Church of Christ Sunday School formed the Labyrinth Dancers for a dance at the Labyrinth Festival and Picnic.

15 Hazelwood High School Students Receive Girl Scout Gold or Eagle Scout Honors

Fifteen high school students from the Hazelwood School District made it to the top in scouting. For a girl it means Girl Scout Gold while for a boy that means earning Eagle Scout rank.
