The Saint Louis County Department of Health will be offering free H1N1 flu vaccinations to county residents at five locations on Saturday, Dec. 5 including Ferguson-Florissant School District Administration Building, 1005 Waterford Drive, Florissant.
. This is the second round of public H1N1 vaccination clinics in Saint Louis County. Due to an increased supply of vaccine, the department will be targeting a larger number of residents than previously.
Ferguson’s Northern Lights Holiday Celebration is Nov. 29
Ferguson will hold its Northern Lights Celebration on Sunday, Nov. 29, from 2-7 p.m. The theme is Christmas On Main Street.
Northern Lights will feature caroling and a brass quintet, a visit with Santa, and warming up by bonfires. The schedule of events follows:

Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc.’s Alpha Zeta chapter named Amaris Hairston of Hazelwood Central Middle School as the first place middle school essayist in its annual Apple for the Teacher student essay contest.

Old St. Ferdinand Shrine Christmas Concert is Dec. 13
The annual Christmas Concert at St. Ferdinand Shrine will be Sunday Dec. 13 from 3-5 p.m. This year there will be four groups providing Christmas Music: Florissant Valley Baptist Church, the Singers from St. Ferdinand Parish, school children from St. Rose Philippine Duchesne and soloist guitarist Steve Barat.
