Fort Belle Fontaine, Jan. 23
The Friends of Fort Belle Fontaine Park will host an Eagle Watch and Trail Walk on Saturday, Jan. 23 from 11-2. The event is free. A live Eagle, several birds of prey and a naturalist from the World Bird Sanctuary will on on-site for a close-up view.

Energy Grant Could Save Florissant $80,000 per Year
Florissant has submitted a grant application under the Energize Missouri Communities Program of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources which sets up the competitive grant process to distribute Federal Stimulus funding.

Historical Society Celebrates French Custom With a Bouillon Party, Jan. 24
The Florissant Valley Historical Society will hold its annual Bouillon Party on Sunday, Jan. 24 at Taille de Noyer. A Bouillon was a winter house party held by early French settlers during the holidays.

Florissant Studies Need to Regulate Carport Contents

The Florissant City Council discussed carports at the executive session before the council meeting last week. The council had previously asked the city Planning and Zoning (P and Z) Commission to look into regulating carports. The council would like to regulate the amount of things that can be in a carport.

Northwest Healthcare President Talks About Expansion

Area Schools Plan Events For Catholic Schools Week

Catholic schools throughout North County will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week Jan. 31 to Feb. 6. The week will mean special activities and events for each school.
At St. Norbert School, students will have a flag ceremony, talent show, and a vocation presentation. In addition, representatives from Purina Farms will be bringing animals to the school for a visit. The school also holds a traditional volleyball game in which the two eighth-grade homerooms compete.
