The Florissant City Council held a first reading on a bill that would allow a day care center to move into 13041-13141 New Halls Ferry Road. This is a storefront in the Plaza Madrid Shopping Center at New Halls Ferry and Parker Road.

Dumpster Enclosures Concerns Businesses

Trash enclosures were once again on the minds of the Florissant City Council at their recent executive session before the regular council meeting. Current ordinances require that business enclose dumpsters.

Commendations, Certificates of Merit Awarded to Florissant Police Officers
Several Florissant Police officers received Chief’s Letters of Commendation or Certificates of Merit at a Police Command and Staff March meeting Chief William Karabas commended officers for their actions in the line of duty. Mayor Robert G. Lowery was invited to present the awards to the officers.

North Tech Dream Season Ends In Class 3 Quarters, IWA Wins Class 5

North County Tech, with not much success in athletics, made history two weeks ago as the Girls Basketball team won their first district title and last week became the first team to win 20 games in a season.
