North County Inc. Names 30 Leaders In Their 30s; To be Honored Sept. 24

North County Incorporated, Regional Development Association (NCI) has named this year’s 30 Leaders in their Thirties Leadership Award recipients. This remarkable group of up-and-coming professionals and volunteers, all of whom are making a significant difference in the North County area, will be recognized at the NCI Salutes 30 Leaders in their Thirties reception on Friday, Sept. 24, at 11:30 a.m. at Norwood Hills Country Club.

Either way the vote goes, the proposed half-cent sales tax for St. Louis County’s metro transit system could mean some dramatic changes. The fate of MetroLink, Metrobus, and Metro Call-A-Ride is in the hands of the voters. Proposition A will be on the ballot for a second time in almost two years on Tuesday, April 6.

North County Will Miss Lowell Girardier, One of Area’s Top Advocates, Citizens

North County lost of one of its most influential citizens and advocate for North County with the passing of community leader and builder Lowell Girardier who died Friday, March 26. He was 81. Services were held Tuesday, March 30 at First Christian Church of Florissant with internment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
