Central Middle School Student Wins Tee Shirt Design Contest for Hazelwood School District’s Run-Walk
Abriana Gardley, an eighth grader at Hazelwood Central Middle School, won the tee shirt design contest for the 28th Annual Hazelwood PTA Run-Walk.
Her design was selected out of 35 designs submitted by students from across the District. It will appear on tee shirts and registration forms for the event. As the winner, she will receive a trophy and a Run-Walk tee shirt. The trophy will be presented at the May 19 HSD Board of Education meeting.
The Hazelwood PTA Council Scholarship Foundation holds two annual events to support graduating seniors – Run-Walk and Six Flags Day. For 2009, the Council will award 100 scholarships valued at $1,000 each.
The Run-Walk is Saturday, May 9 at 8 a.m. at Hazelwood Central High School.
