Ferguson-Florissant School District Voters OK $25 Million Bond Issue

Ferguson-Florissant District residents approved a no tax rate increase $25 million bond issue on the Aug. 3rd ballot.

Approval of Prop A will allow funding for a variety of projects in the school district aimed at student achievement, building repairs and upgrading student safety.

Before asking voters for the bond issue approval, the school board tightened its own budget by cutting $15 million from this year’s budget without any personnel layoffs. District revues had been reduced by cuts in state funding, lower property taxes and falling real estate values.
