Local Municipal Fireworks Displays
The city of Hazelwood will have fireworks on July 4 at White Birch Park, 1186 Teson Road, starting at dusk. A free summer outdoor concert featuring Plastic will begin at 7 p.m.
Guests are welcome to bring coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs. Glass containers are not allowed, and no vendors will be in the park.
Parking will be available at the Knights of Columbus and at Howdershell Park and Hazelwood Baptist Church, where shuttle buses will run to White Birch Park every 15 minutes starting at 6:15 p.m.
The Northwinds Band will present a concert before the fireworks on July 4. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. in Florissant Valley Park outside the Eagan Center.
Following the concert, the City of Florissant will hold its annual Fireworks extravaganza after dusk featuring a fireworks presentation combining brilliant shells, color sequencing, dimensional frontage, and low and high level aerial combinations.
In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks display “only” will be held the following evening (July 5 at 9:30 p.m.). For additional information, call the James J. Eagan Center at 314-921-4466.
The city of Ferguson holds the Family Fun Festival, a day of activities starting at 10:00 a.m. and ending with fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
10 a.m.: Parade begins at Suburban Avenue, heading north on Florissant Rd. to January Wabash Memorial Park.
11 a.m. until park closing: Food Beverage and Game Booths open, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.: Free Kids Inflatable Rides Noon: Opening Ceremony
1-9 p.m.: Bands at the Bandshell, 1-8:30 p.m.: Sheltered Realty Drum Corps
