Mayor Lowery Appointed to U.S. Conference of Mayors Committee

Mayor Robert Lowery, Sr. has been appointed to the Community Development and Housing Committee and the Tourism, Arts, Parks, Entertainment and Sports Committee for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

The conference is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. The primary roles of the U.S. Conference of Mayors are to promote the development of effective national urban/suburban policy; strengthen federal-city relationships; ensure that federal policy meets urban needs; provide mayors with leadership and management tools; and create a forum in which mayors can share ideas and information.

“I am looking forward to contributing to the Community Development and Housing Committee along with adding my leadership experience to the Energy Conservation and Efficiency Committee and the Tourism, Arts, Parks, and Entertainment Committee,” said Mayor Lowery.
