Miss Hazelwood this year was Kirsten Henderson, sponsored by Landolt Properties. She was crowned Saturday. Kirsten is a junior at Hazelwood West and actiove in the Student Council, VIPs, National Honor Society member and Pep Club. She has played an instrument in the symphonic orchestra since she was a freshmen. She volunteers her time for the Special Olympics and other community service events. The other Miss Hazelwood candidates were: Jennifer Schultz,, Kaitlynn Frost, Samantha Schreck, Samantha Garnier and runner-up Danielle Randall . The winner was crowned Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m at Howdershell Park, site of the Hazelwood Harvestfest. (below photo)
