Municipal July 4th Celebrations

Florissant

This year’s July 4^th celebration in Florissant will again be held on the grounds of the James J. Eagan Center at Florissant Valley Park. The festivities will begin with a free outdoor concert by the Northwinds Concert Band. The concert, which starts at 7:30 p.m., will feature patriotic marches and hits from Broadway and film.

Following the concert, the city’s fireworks display will begin at dusk. This display features a fireworks presentation combining brilliant shells, color sequencing, dimensional frontage, and low and high level aerial combinations. Bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the festivities.

Hazelwood

The city hosts its annual pyro-musical display on July 4 at White Birch Park, 1186 Teson Raod, starting at dusk. A total of 1,700 shells will be launched and explode for approximately 20 minutes. The same company that provided the display last year, Lantis Fireworks of St. Louis, will provide the display this year.

Parking is available at the Knights of Columbus and Howdershell Park. Parking will also be available at Hazelwood West High School. The city will run a shuttle bus service from the high school starting at 7.

Ferguson

The city’s 36^th annual full day of fun on Independence Day starts with a parade at 10 a.m., continuing all day at the Bandshell and Children’s Area at January Wabash Park and concluding with a Fireworks Display at 9:15.
