North County Inc. Names Chris Kilbride 2018 Board Chairman

The board of directors of North County Incorporated (NCI), a regional development association, elected Chris Kilbride, superintendent for the Ritenour School District, as their 2018 chairman of the board.

Kilbride will serve a one-year term and succeeds Scott Negwer, president of Negwer Materials, who served on the NCI board since 2012. Kilbride, superintendent since 2012, joined Ritenour in 1999 as a Hoech Middle School teacher before moving to district director of professional development. He also served as assistant principal and interim principal at Kratz Elementary and principal at Buder Elementary.

“It is a tremendous honor to serve as board chair,” said Kilbride. “I look forward to working with Rebecca Zoll, her staff, and the entire board as we continue to serve as a catalyst for economic and community growth in North County.”

“We are extremely pleased to have Dr. Kilbride, outstanding educator and community leader, serve as our board chair,” said Zoll, president and CEO of NCI.

“Chris will effectively guide and ensure the continued advocacy work NCI does for the North County community. ”Kilbride has been involved on a number of leadership and advisory committees including supervisor of administrative interns from Maryville University and Lindenwood University. He was part of the planning team for the Waters Institute for Systems Thinking in Schools Conference.

He was named 2016 Administrator of the Year by the Missouri Interscholastic Press Association for his outstanding support of Ritenour High School’s student journalism program and appointed to EducationPlus board of directors.

Kilbride holds a Doctor of Education and Master of Arts in Education from Saint Louis University and an undergraduate degree in elementary education from Eureka College.
