The Northwinds Concert Band, under the direction of Larry Marsh, will take you “Beyond the Horizon” at its next concert on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Florissant Civic Center Theatre.

Special guest vocalist will be Patricia Scanlon, who will be featured in big band arrangements of “Witchcraft” and Rodgers and Hart’s “Bewitched.”

The program will open with a new work by Rossano Galante. John Williams will help us take flight with exciting music from the movies, and we’ll go to sea with Gilbert and Sullivan, followed by a voyage beneath the seas with an exciting new composition “Atlantis.”

Other works include a special ragtime trombone feature plus a few Halloween treats.  The program will conclude with a light-hearted “musical joke” by Johann Strauss.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors and students Call (314) 921-5678 to order. For more information, visit the Northwinds website at www.northwindsband.org.
